Since birth, Barira Zawre, a 16-year-old girl from Raigad, Maharashtra, has been living with serious medical challenges. Diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Hypotonic Cerebral Palsy, everyday activities that many take for granted have always been difficult for her. While other children learned to walk and run, Barira’s journey has been filled with physical limitations, therapy sessions, and constant care.

Despite these challenges, Barira has grown into a brave and resilient young girl who continues to face life with patience and quiet determination. Her parents noticed her physical weakness from a very early age, and medical evaluations later confirmed the condition. Over the years, they have done everything within their power to support her treatment and rehabilitation.

Doctors at Ayush Hospital, Raigad, Maharashtra have now advised Tendon Release/Tendon Transplant Surgery, a procedure that can significantly improve Barira’s mobility and help her gain better control over her movements. The cost of this crucial treatment is Rs. 7,00,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakh Only), an amount that is far beyond what the family can afford.

Barira’s father, Asim Ahmed, works as a Maulavi at the masjid, and her mother, Shabana, a homemaker, remains by her side, offering constant love and support. With a family of three and limited financial resources, the path ahead is challenging. Yet, Barira’s courage continues to inspire hope that with the right treatment and support, her life can become more comfortable and independent.
